Kristin Davis, the actress known for her long-standing role as Charlotte York in Sex And The City and its sequel And Just Like That, broke down as she shared a touching moment with ITV viewers.
During a tearful appearance on daytime TV show Lorraine, which aired on Friday, June 6, Kristin opened up about her deep connection to her character.
The emotional interview saw entertainment correspondent Lucie Cave chatting with Kristin about the impact of playing Charlotte, the New York socialite who taught us about love, friendship, and resilience alongside three other young women.
Kristin confessed: "Oh it's so hard to separate really, right, because I've been playing her for so long and sometimes people ask me questions like that it's hard to be objective."

Regarding her feelings towards Charlotte, the actress expressed how different their desires were in life: "But I do think the thing about Charlotte which is interesting over this huge amount of time she's been in my life is she wanted a whole set of things that were not really what I wanted," reports the Mirror US.
With her voice quivering, she added: "I wanted a whole set of things that she allowed me to have because it had to do with my creative expression and my career, right? So she gave me those gifts, which might make me cry.."
Overcoming her tears, Kristin concluded: "I think because I was satisfied in my job I was able to then think about what else I wanted and when I was young I never thought about those things."

Charlotte reflected on the thrill of reprising her role in And Just Like That by saying: "It's amazing we ever got to do it in the first place and we never ever thought we would get to continue on at this time in life and it's even more rewarding now."
Sex And The City's final episode saw Charlotte happily married to Harry with their adopted daughter Lily and a surprise pregnancy.
The sequel And Just Like That continues their journey with two teenage children.
Off-screen, Kristin, who is now 60, also embraces family life with an adopted son and daughter.
Sharing advice for her character, Kristin added: "Slow it down, enjoy yourself, enjoy everything that you have happening because she works so hard to create her life and her family and I just think sometimes she's trying to do too much."
Lorraine is on ITV1 weekdays at 9am and on ITVX
